I am wondering how you did with your exercise around autopilot. Usually, the exercise activates mindfulness. Have you been able to replace any sabotaging habits with more mindful ones? It isn’t always a one-and-done. Have compassion for your journey. When you slip back, start up again.
The one thing 2020 has taught us is that we can do things differently. I feel like the whole Universe got the call to get out of autopilot!
This is an ideal time to let go of resistance to what is. What excuses do you use for why your life is the way it is? Even if you find some truth in the explanations, mostly they are but excuses. Most of us want to change, but we yield to our fears and disempowering beliefs. How much longer do you want to derail your dreams? What is the main obstacle?
Resistance is an internal conflict between the parts of us that are locked in fear and the parts that are courageous.
I invite you to take a good long look at your go-to excuses. Wouldn’t you like to learn how to let them go and move past them and shift from resistance to acceptance of your life just as it is? That place of acceptance frees you to use your energy and creativity to think outside the box and make changes necessary to enjoy the life you desire.
