August 2026 Astrology

We left my brother Tommy’s episode up this week again for 2 reasons: 1. It was requested by our viewers. 2. I wanted to answer questions we received about using butter in the chicken wing sauce, keeping the skin on the chicken and the condiments for our chili – which are all great questions. And these questions give me the opportunity explain where we’re coming from.

Through our own experiences we know how challenging it can be to stay on a healthy and balanced track. We also know how easy it is to beat ourselves up when we get off that track. That’s the part we like to tackle. We like to show you ways and give you tools to minimize those feelings.

We would love to tell you to never eat sugar, dairy or anything processed ever again, and to only eat organic proteins, fruits and vegetables. But that’s not very realistic for the majority of us. We, personally, eat as close to that as possible, and we still can’t keep it up throughout the year. It’s what you do when those challenging times come up, like Superbowl weekend. How do we help arm you so you don’t mindlessly go through those days? We wanted to adjust small things that can keep you on track and if you do indulge too much it doesn’t wreck you.

The best way we’ve found is keeping your food as whole as possible. We believe everyone can step out of this chemically treated food system that is making us unhealthy and get back to basics of eating REAL WHOLE foods. I don’t want you putting sour cream on my healthy chili but, if you are, I’m going to give you real sour cream. You need much less of this whole food with full flavor instead of the fat free, runny one that some company processed the crap out of and put fillers and starches in, that’s not good for you. And it doesn’t taste good either.

When you read food labels you should be reading the ingredients before you even look at the calories and fat. What good is knowing the calories and fat when there are so many ingredients that you can’t pronounce, let alone know what they are or what they’ll do to you. When you eat whole food your body knows how to process it, use it, and then dispose of it. Even skin from a chicken. This is how you get healthy. This is also how you stay healthy without all the worry and the gimmicks.

So when a weekend like the Superbowl comes around – we’re going to give you ideas so you can indulge on real food and not feel like you’ve missed something. So if that means a tablespoon of butter in a sauce that covers 5 pounds of chicken wings opposed to how many cups of oil to fry the usual ones in… so be it.

I’ll give you all the same challenge I gave my brother Tommy. Get creative and make those “not-so-good-for-you” foods as whole and real as possible. Use as many as “nature intended” ingredients as you can. Enjoy thoroughly small portions of your once-in-a-while treat. It takes out the guilt and keeps you on track.

We would love for you to share your revised recipes with us and we’ll post them on our site.

Thanks for all your emails!
