Even though April of 2015 does not have the stellar activities we have been dealing with over the last few months, there are still a number of noteworthy events as well as the spillover from the Uranus Square Pluto we had last month. April is transition month as we move from the past into something new. Spring is here. Full Moons are always a time of reward, release, and resignation. Because the Full Moon on the 4th is a Total Lunar Eclipse, we have the pressure and effect exponentially increased.
Jupiter turning direct on the 8th, emphasizes our ability to create and communicate. Pluto turns retrograde on the 16thgiving a more inner and personal quality to aspect of our nature that wishes to carry everything to the extremes. The New Moon on the 18th starts the first Lunar Month of the year. This is the best time to set our goals for 2015 and to empower them.
The Full Moon on the 4th is a Total Lunar Eclipse occurring at 8:06 AM EDT on the 14th degree of Aries/Libra. The Sun and Moon are in close aspect to the just completed Uranus/ Pluto Square, triggering our need for freedom plus signaling that the world continuing upheaval will intensify. Around the globe at this moment there are more than 53 million displaced persons. This is more people homeless, hungry, and caught in the crossfire of warring factions at any time since World War II. This situation will continue for at least the next six months.
The New Moon is on April 18th at 2:57 PM EDT on the 28th degree of Aries. In one sense this event describes, in the broadest terms, the rhythm of event for the whole world until the 2016 New Moon in Aries. With Mars (Ruler of Aries) Square Jupiter (lord of expanse) and Trine Pluto (god of extremes), we are likely to see an increase in combustible energy, a wild rush to secure our practical needs (Mars is in Taurus, an earth sign), and a further sense of the competitive spirit. Life will be very lively for us all. With Mercury (lord of reason) Sextile Neptune (god of compassion) we are at our finest when we are able to transmute the violence in ourselves and community into something higher. This can be a time of great spiritual growth.
The Sun enters Taurus on the 20th. In this Solar map the Moon is void of course last having crossed over Mars and next to cross Venus. This shows that we have an opportunity during the next month to make a personal appeal for peace and to transfer our aggressive instincts into higher channels.
