The whole month of December is an unwinding of things that have been put in motion during the last two months. We will have a chance to rethink our chief obligations and also change the dynamics within our primary relationships. This is shown by Venus turning Retrograde on December 21st at 28 degrees of Capricorn. She turns Direct on January 31st 2014. Venus is only Retrograde 40 days every two years. This is an opportunity to review our emotional life. The Grand Cross involving Pluto, Uranus, Jupiter, and Mars forces physical changes in the world and also in our own personal lives. This will be in effect for the next six months so we are starting a long, wild ride. Real change requires effort, so be patient with yourself and with others.
The New Moon is on December 2nd on the 11th degree of Sagittarius at 7:23 PM EST. Uranus (lord of Infinite Intelligence) is Trine the Sun and Moon. We are being shown that the way out of our current conflicts is to reach for a higher, more all encompassing solution. At the same time, Venus (goddess of love) is applying to a Trine to Mars (god of war). They are both in earth signs showing that we can find practical methods of achieving harmony in our most important relationships. Mercury (god of reason) is Sextile both from Scorpio (sign of extremes). Solutions discovered now are not only thorough, they are final.
The Full Moon is on December 17th at 4:28 AM EST on the 25th degree of Sagittarius/ Gemini. The most salient feature of this moment is the Grand Cross involving the ubiquitous Uranus Square Pluto which is now being joined and energized by Mars and Jupiter. The four major areas of our lives (personal identity, relationships, home, and career) are being challenged by deep seated conflicts. Although some things are ending or being discarded, we are entering a two month period of either profound introspection or external turbulence. Solutions are found in activity not discussion.
The Sun enters Capricorn December 21st at 12:11 PM EST. The map for this moment shows tremendous upheaval on the planet. There will be an economic crisis and a series of diplomatic maneuvers to prevent it from spinning out of hand. The good news is that the remedial methods work, but there are underlying difficulties which take years to resolve. Current economic circumstances, just like our environmental abuse, have developed over centuries of wrong headed thinking. Beginning steps during the next three months lead us out of our self created difficulties. Each of us can make a difference by reforming ourselves to meet the demands of the time.
