April Highlights
Though the temperature is rising in the northern hemisphere in April, polarization is also intensifying all month. Although everyone must, at some point, take a stand on what we believe, only when saner minds tackle the problems that confront us now will we start to see bright spots emerging amidst the chaos. This month is the fulcrum point for the rest of the year. The world will act and react with so many planetary combinations in Aries (sign of pioneering actions). We each must act in our own lives.
On the 1st at 10:11 PM EDT, the Full Moon is at 12 degrees Aries/Libra. The Moon is Quincunx Mercury and Square Jupiter, Mercury is Trine Jupiter.
With the Sun and Moon in Square to Jupiter, we have a cardinal T-square; physical action is required since the Full Moon is a time of culmination; action we will have. Mercury, completing a Trine to Jupiter, is giving an “off ramp”for the pent-up and now releasing energy. There are so many different forms of information bombarding us that it is easy to either do nothing at all, or to act impulsively. The impulse to be inclusive can help keep us focused on what is, after all, our real higher purpose.
On the 2nd – Saturn Contra-parallel Neptune, Uranus is at 28 Taurus 50 which is Square the last Solar Eclipse at 28 Aquarius 50. The Moon moves through a Quincunx to both Mars and Uranus. This will be an energizing day, but also very disruptive, even violent. We do our best to keep our attention within our own circle of influence. The world is consumed in an escalating chain of events.
On the 3rd – Mercury Trine Jupiter and Venus Square Pluto – we awaken to our self-created situation. Our possessions either support us or imprison us. Discharging what holds us back can liberate.
On the 5th – the Sun Square Jupiter, Sun Contra-parallel Mercury – How much is enough? Where do we fit into our family? Does belonging to a group diminish our individuality? Time spent pondering our role in other people’s lives is rewarding. Our personal growth has to benefit everyone in our lives to be lasting and fulfilling.
On the 9th – Mars enters Aries and will be here until May 18th –
The impulse to act is overwhelming. Even though we may not have much of a plan, tools to assist our efforts line the streets in front of us. Extra energy accumulates as we get into motion.
On the 10th – Mars Contra-parallel Saturn, Jupiter Contra-parallel Pluto – If we have the commonsense to correctly appraise the terrain, the web ahead becomes less confusing, and our long treasured destination becomes clearer with each step.
On the 12th – Mars Parallel Neptune – Energy is less available; redirecting our attention to the things that matter most allows for greater efficiency. Interruptions can be scams, but also opportunity. Time and again we can right our sails by looking with a jaundice eye at our underlying motives. If fear and urgency prompt our actions, commonsense just went out the window. True inspiration leaves us feeling calm.
On the 13th – Mars Conjunct Neptune, Mars Contra-parallel Neptune, Venus Sextile Jupiter –
Good things in life are easily within reach. Working for a higher cause is energizing, and we become part of a great mobilization. Participation in something larger than our individual concerns is a path to self-nurturing.
On the 14th – Mercury enters Aries and will be here until May 2nd –
This will be a time when our overactive mind may release us from stagnation. We had the right ideas, but now the path of action becomes more obvious. Our first thought may be our best. Correctly directed enthusiasm creates much; short bursts of activity create a rhythm moving us forward.
On the 16th – Mercury Conjunct Neptune – It’s time for a new adventure. Calls arriving out of the blue, and new acquaintances, spark our imagination. Creativity is at the forefront. Plans develop in motion.
On the 17th – The New Moon is at 27 degrees of Aries at 7:52 AM EDT
With six planets in Aries, impulsiveness will tend to monopolize our actions. Four planets (Mercury, Mars, Saturn, and Neptune) are Sextile Pluto in Aquarius. In Washington D.C, Pluto is on the MC. This will be a month of action. With Mars in his rulership (Aries), and Venus in her rulership (Taurus), the polarization between assertion and receptivity will reach new levels of creation. Jupiter in his exaltation in Cancer is Sextile Venus; the ability and desire to envision something substantial is very potent. What we put our attention on this month will grow, even if our mind wanders somewhere else next month.
On the 19th – Mercury Parallel, then Contra-parallel, Neptune; Mars Conjunct Saturn; the Sun enters Taurus at 9:40 PM EDT –
We weave dreams; a myriad of possible futures flood our mind. The memory of past triumphs and failures clutter our thought processes. We move forward (which we must) by sorting through the“briar patch”of seeming inequities before stumbling on an appropriate direction. This whole Solar Month will require discipline and continual effort. Running the marathon is necessary, important, and part of the long-term plan. “You don’t have to win to be number one”- Paul Thorn.
On the 20th – Mercury Conjuncts Saturn then Mars, and finally Mercury Parallels Saturn – Clarity comes through action. If the door is locked, go around back. Patience, intelligence, and actions adjusted to reality bring success. Fear, anger, and dejection prevent us from seeing what is necessary. “This is the day which the Lord hath made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”
On the 22nd – Venus is at 28o Taurus which is Square the place of the Eclipse of February 17th. This point was activated by Mars at the start of the war with Iran. This will not bring the end of the war, but there will be a new development. Venus can bring peaceful feelings and we could all use some.
On the 23rd – Venus Conjuncts Uranus, then enters Gemini where she will be until May 18th –
We have a few weeks of seeing the bright side of our affections wandering from event to event; being blessed with the diversity, and not having to deal immediately with the consequence of our actions. This is some reprieve before the gathering intensity changes the social environment.
On the 25th – Sun Square Pluto, Uranus enters Gemini and will be there until August 2032 –
Historically, this has been a sign of the US being at war: the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, and WWII. Uranus in Gemini also brings much technical innovation. Technology is already on a collision course with humanity. We will continue to go through the necessary changes to eventually live together in harmony. Last year, Uranus was in Gemini from July 7th to November 7th. This was a relatively optimistic time as we were seeing the hope that changes would be primarily positive. Now, Uranus will be in Gemini until August of 2032. As every journey of Uranus in Gemini, this will be a period of great and necessary innovation prompted by universal mental agitation. Conflict follows.
On the 26th – Mercury Square Jupiter – Decisions made in a hurry may have to be recalibrated over the next week. Emotions are pulled in two directions. Choices can’t be postponed, but will have to be revisited.
On the 28th – Venus Trine Pluto – New information comes, whether or not we are looking for it, or want it. Our emotional temperament will see some renovation.
On the 29th – Mars Semi-square Uranus – Sometimes we have to shake up the ordinary in order to discover the extraordinary. Innovation happens all by itself, but we can intervene and guide the direction of our future.
On the 30th – Venus Parallel Jupiter – A partnership between our childhood and the present moment gives us a boost of encouragement to push forward. Hidden gems in our history are waiting to be discovered.
My Personal Note
Thank you for taking some time with my Newsletter. If you would like to tell me your concerns, drop me a line, email me here. I love hearing from you and I answer all my emails personally.
My talk “Jupiter and our Higher Mind” will now be online April 18th. My return trip from India was very taxing physically. The six week pilgrimage was very beneficial but I’m not able to travel for awhile. I am excited to give this talk. The description was in my March Newsletter. If you missed it, here it is again:
Jupiter and Our Higher Mind
Exploring the multifaceted nature of Jupiter opens a door, granting us an audience with him in his inner domain. Jupiter, as king of the gods, is unique in many ways. What does it mean to be king of the gods? What role does the mythology of Mount Olympus play in our lives? Who is Jupiter, really? To understand the critical role that Jupiter plays in each one of our lives, we need to come to terms with many things. Why does creation exist, and what is Jupiter’s function in fulfilling this cosmic purpose? This is the foundation for understanding what Jupiter does for each of us. As the higher mind, Jupiter provides the ability to make good judgments, to find shortcuts, to strengthen our moral fiber, to avoid actions that will disappoint us in the long run. Jupiter rules everything that has to do with the “long run”. Where does this ability come from? What role does he actually play in our lives, and how is he integrated into our personality in a way that makes him relevant? Come and find out.
Even though I won’t be there in person I will still answer questions and look forward to a lively conversation.
This talk is sponsored by the San Diego chapter of NCGR and will be at 11:00 AM PDT. The cost is $10 for members and $15 for non-members. Here are the links to register:
Every issue of AARP has guidelines for avoiding scams; new criminal inventions for stealing pop up like flowers blooming in spring. At root, the problem is always the same; greed running over the gullible. With Neptune (lying) now in Aries (forcefulness) for the next 14 years, along with inflation, we are apt to be struggling with imagination lacking patience. Pluto (extremes) in his long transit though Aquarius (technology) encourages mental gyrations to run rampant. And now Uranus (intelligence) going into Gemini (sign of thinking and communication) for the next seven years, we see the impatience fostering war, bullying, and expediency. These outer planet transits give much innovation and potential upliftment for the human race, but only if our individual and collective consciousness rises to a higher plane of awareness. Without this elevation, we will destroy each other, destroy the environment, and end civilization as we know it. The choice is with each one of us to make through our choosing, every day.
