I just want to say I LOVE YOU
A client shared this with me and I wanted to share it with you:
About four months ago I met a man from Syria, who is now living in New York City with his family. We chatted a bit about life, work, and family. I asked him to explain the situation in Syria, as I did not understand its origins and why it is continuing. After he explained, he stated“What can you do? There’s nothing you can do.”
That question attached itself to me. Around the same time I was watching the film “What the Bleep Do We Know.” Within the film, there is an experiment that researcher Dr. Masaru Emoto did showing the effects words and intention have on water crystal formations. After the experiment’s dramatic outcome, he explained that our earth and our bodies are composed primarily of water, and the words we say and the intention behind those words have profound effects on our health. Then I heard about an experiment done with Transcendental Meditation practitioners in Washington, DC that resulted in the crime rate dropping roughly 24 percent. Between the results of these studies, and asking the question “what can we do as our world creates more and more destruction and fear,” an idea began to take shape.
The idea : On 12-13-14 everyone, in the world is asked to say silently or aloud the words “I LOVE YOU” to someone they know or don’t know.
It could be a mother brother, lover or friend. Or it could be a child waiting to be adopted, a refugee, a person that is fighting on the opposite side from you. It could be yourself.
You can paint it, read it, plant it, write it, type it, play it, dance it, build it, give it, receive it. The vision includes everyone finding their own way to say and celebrate love! Concerts can be held, yoga classes, plays, televised events, meditation or prayer circles, sports, or games. Whatever and however.
There is NO money to be made and very little effort is required. There is no intended outcome other than“what if/what will/ what could we do in love? “LOVE is powerful. We are all having different experiences and maybe we don’t understand one another’s path, but we ALL understand love.
My hope is that we can spread this, and that the power of that single intention can do things we never dreamed possible. There is power in this possibility.
What can we do? LOVE is what we can do.
If you feel inclined, please share. It is growing and it is beautiful to watch that growth. For whatever reason, many have reached out this week to share their plan to celebrate the event. Dance schools are creating dance pieces, poets are creating an evening of poetry readings about love, song writers are writing songs, photos have been posted on our website and instagram stating who they love. As we watch more and more folks post pictures and sayings about love, we are so grateful because what it says, is that the thought of love is permeating the system. When people say why wait till 12-13-14-we don’t. It starts now, and it grows and spreads until we are collectively there. Our story and links are below, as well as some good pics. We so believe in the power of the message as a possible opportunity to shift our world even if for a moment. What if? What could? What will? What is the BEST that could happen? If you have any suggestions or inspirations, we would love to hear them. Thank you.
